الملاذات الآمنة للعمل الإنساني بجنوب كردفان – العباسية.. تجربة جديرة بالاحترام والتقدير

في قلب جنوب كردفان، وفي ظل واقع إنساني شديد التعقيد تفرضه الحرب والنزوح والفقر وتراجع الخدمات الأساسية، تظل هناك مساحات مضيئة تؤكد أن العمل الإنساني الحقيقي قادر على صناعة الفرق، حتى في أصعب الظروف وأكثرها تحدياً
وفي محلية العباسية، برزت جهود منظمات المجتمع المدني الوطنية والدولية باعتبارها واحدة من أهم روافع الصمود المجتمعي، من خلال تقديم العون الإنساني والدعم النفسي والاجتماعي والخدمات المجتمعية والأنشطة الموجهة للأطفال والنساء والشباب والفئات الأكثر هشاشة.

ومن بين التجارب التي فرضت نفسها باحترام واضح، تجربة منظمة بلان إنترناشيونال السودان (Plan International Sudan) في محلية العباسية؛ وهي تجربة تستحق التقدير ليس فقط لحجم ما يقدم من دعم، وإنما لنوعية هذا الدعم وصلته المباشر باحتياجات المجتمع، وبصفة خاصة احتياجات الأطفال والنازحين واللاجئين.
لقد كان لافتاً، خلال متابعة الواقع الميداني في العباسية، أن العمل الإنساني لم يتوقف عند تقديم المساعدات المادية أو الاستجابة للاحتياجات الأساسية، بل امتد إلى مساحات أكثر عمقاً تتعلق بالإنسان ذاته، وبصحته النفسية، وشعوره بالأمان، وقدرته على استعادة شيء من طفولته التي أثرت فيها الحرب والنزوح والخوف وعدم الاستقرار.
الأطفال هنا ليسوا مجرد مستفيدين من مشروع؛ إنهم محور أساسي للعمل الإنساني.

وهذا ما يجعل الأنشطة الرياضية والترفيهية، وبرامج الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي، والأنشطة المجتمعية الجاذبة، ذات قيمة تتجاوز ظاهرها بكثير. فالطفل الذي يشارك في نشاط رياضي، أو يضحك مع أقرانه، أو يرسم، أو يلعب في بيئة آمنة، أو يجد من يستمع إليه ويمنحه الشعور بالاهتمام، يستعيد جزءاً من إحساسه بالأمان والانتماء.
وفي ظروف النزوح والحرب، قد تبدو هذه التفاصيل بسيطة، لكنها في الحقيقة تشكل جزءاً مهماً من الاستجابة الإنسانية؛ لأنها تخاطب الخوف والقلق والعزلة وعدم الاستقرار، وتمنح الأطفال مساحة للتعبير والتفاعل والتعافي.

ومن أكثر التجارب التي أثارت الإعجاب المساحات الصديقة للأطفال التي أشرفت عليها منظمة بلان إنترناشيونال في محلية العباسية. هذه المساحات ليست مجرد أماكن للعب والترفيه، بل هي بيئات مجتمعية آمنة تساعد الأطفال على التفاعل والتعلم والتعبير عن مشاعرهم، وتوفر لهم فرصة لاستعادة بعض مظاهر الحياة الطبيعية التي فقدوها بسبب الحرب والنزوح.
والأجمل في هذه التجربة أن خلفها فريقاً من العاملين الذين يؤمنون بما يفعلون، ويعملون بإصرار واجتهاد رغم صعوبة البيئة التشغيلية وشح الموارد وتعدد الاحتياجات.

ومن بين هؤلاء يبرز قائد الفريق الهمام / محمد جمعة، إلى جانب زملائه الرائعين عبدالبين، والنزير، وسومي، وأحمد عادل، ودار السلام، وقاسم ومجبور والنور، وغيرهم من العاملين والمتطوعين والشركاء المحليين والدوليين الذين يواصلون العمل بصمت، بعيداً عن الأضواء، وفي ظروف ليست سهلة.
إن قيمة هؤلاء لا تكمن فقط في تنفيذ الأنشطة، وإنما في قدرتهم على الوصول إلى المجتمعات، وفهم احتياجاتها، وبناء الثقة معها، وتحويل البرامج الإنسانية إلى مساحات حقيقية للتواصل والدعم والحماية.

كما أن هذه التجربة تذكرنا بأن العمل الإنساني الناجح لا يُقاس فقط بعدد المشاريع أو حجم الميزانيات، وإنما بمدى قدرته على الوصول إلى الإنسان الأكثر احتياجاً، وبالأثر الذي يتركه في حياته وكرامته وشعوره بالأمان.
وفي العباسية، حيث تتقاطع تحديات الحرب والنزوح والفقر وضعف الخدمات، تصبح المساحة الآمنة أكثر من مجرد موقع جغرافي؛ إنها فكرة وقيمة وممارسة. مساحة يستطيع فيها الطفل أن يلعب دون خوف، وأن يتعلم دون قلق، وأن يتواصل مع الآخرين دون أن يشعر بأنه وحده في مواجهة عالم مضطرب.

ومن هنا، فإن تجربة بلان إنترناشيونال في العباسية تمثل نموذجاً جديراً بالتأمل والتقدير، خصوصاً عندما نرى كيف يمكن لمنظمة إنسانية أن تعمل داخل مجتمع متأثر بالحرب، وأن تجعل من حماية الطفل والدعم النفسي والاجتماعي والمشاركة المجتمعية جزءاً أساسياً من استجابتها.
والتحية، في هذا السياق، ليست فقط لمنظمة بلان إنترناشيونال، وإنما لكل المنظمات الوطنية والدولية، ولكل العاملين والمتطوعين والشركاء المحليين الذين اختاروا أن يبقوا قريبين من المجتمعات المتأثرة، وأن يقدموا ما يستطيعون رغم التحديات.

فالعمل الإنساني في أوقات الحرب ليس مجرد وظيفة؛ إنه موقف أخلاقي، ومسؤولية تجاه الإنسان، ورسالة تقول للمتضررين إنهم ليسوا وحدهم.
وفي جنوب كردفان، وفي العباسية تحديداً، تظل مثل هذه التجارب بمثابة ملاذات آمنة للإنسانية؛ أماكن صغيرة في جغرافيا واسعة من الألم، لكنها قادرة على أن تمنح طفلاً أملاً، وأسرةً شعوراً بالدعم، ومجتمعاً مساحةً للصمود.
وهذا، في حد ذاته، عطاء يستحق الاحترام والتقدير.

Safe Havens for Humanitarian Action in South Kordofan – Al-Abbasiya: A Remarkable Experience Worthy of Respect and Appreciation..

In the heart of South Kordofan, amid an increasingly complex humanitarian reality shaped by conflict, displacement, poverty, and the deterioration of essential services, there are still remarkable examples that remind us that genuine humanitarian action can make a difference, even under the most difficult and challenging circumstances.
In Al-Abbasiya Locality, the efforts of national and international civil society organizations have become an important source of community resilience. Their work ranges from humanitarian assistance and psychosocial support to community services and activities targeting children, women, young people, and other vulnerable groups.

Among these efforts, the experience of Plan International Sudan in Al-Abbasiya stands out as a particularly meaningful example, one that deserves genuine respect and appreciation, not only because of the scale of the assistance provided, but also because of its quality and its direct connection to the needs of the community, especially children, internally displaced people, and refugees.

What particularly impressed me during my field engagement in Al-Abbasiya was that humanitarian work went beyond material assistance and immediate needs. It reached something deeper: the human being, their psychological wellbeing, their sense of safety, and their ability to recover a sense of normal childhood after experiencing conflict, displacement, fear, and uncertainty.

Children here are not simply beneficiaries of a project; they are at the heart of humanitarian action.
Sports, recreational activities, psychosocial support, and engaging community-based programmes may appear simple on the surface, but their value goes far beyond what can immediately be seen.
A child who participates in a sports activity, laughs with other children, draws, plays in a safe environment, or simply finds someone willing to listen and show care is gradually reclaiming a sense of safety, belonging, and dignity.

In a context of war and displacement, these moments matter enormously. They provide children with opportunities to express themselves, interact with others, manage fear and anxiety, and regain a small part of the normal childhood that conflict has taken away from them.
One of the experiences that particularly deserves recognition is the Child-Friendly Spaces supported and supervised by Plan International in Al-Abbasiya.

These spaces are much more than places for children to play. They are safe community environments where children can interact, learn, express their emotions, build relationships, and experience a degree of normality in circumstances that are anything but normal.
What makes this experience even more inspiring is the dedicated team working behind these activities and projects. They continue to demonstrate commitment, energy, and perseverance despite difficult operational conditions, limited resources, and constantly changing humanitarian needs.

Among them are the focal person/team leader Mohamed Juma, together with his colleagues Abdelbain, Al-Nazeer, Soumi, Ahmed Adel, Dar Al-Salam, and Qasim, Majboor and Elnoor, as well as many other staff members, volunteers, and local and international partners whose work often takes place quietly and away from the spotlight.
Their contribution is not limited to implementing activities. It is also about reaching communities, understanding their needs, building trust, and transforming humanitarian programmes into genuine spaces for communication, protection, support, and recovery.

This experience also reminds us that successful humanitarian action should not be measured only by the number of projects implemented or the size of the resources invested. It should also be measured by its ability to reach the people who need it most and by the impact it has on their lives, dignity, wellbeing, and sense of safety.
In Al-Abbasiya, where conflict, displacement, poverty, and limited services intersect, a safe space is more than a physical location. It is an idea, a value, and a practical commitment: a place where a child can play without fear, learn without anxiety, and connect with others without feeling alone in an unsettled world.

For this reason, the experience of Plan International in Al-Abbasiya is a model worthy of reflection and appreciation. It demonstrates how a humanitarian organization can work within a conflict-affected community while making child protection, psychosocial support, and community engagement integral parts of its response.
The appreciation, however, should extend beyond Plan International to all national and international organizations, staff members, volunteers, and local partners who have chosen to remain close to affected communities and continue providing support despite the enormous challenges.
Humanitarian work during times of war is not simply a profession; it is an ethical position, a responsibility towards people, and a message to affected communities that they are not alone.

In South Kordofan, and particularly in Al-Abbasiya, such initiatives represent safe havens for humanity—small spaces within a vast geography of pain, yet powerful enough to give a child hope, a family a sense of support, and a community the strength to endure.
And that, in itself, is a contribution worthy of respect and appreciation.
