الجبال الشرقية… العباسية .. حين يحكي المكان ذاكرة الإنسان بين عبق الماضي ونبض الحاضر..

ليست محلية العباسية بجنوب كردفان، مجرد بقعةٍ على خارطة السودان، بل هي قصةٌ تُروى، وذاكرةٌ تنبض بالحياة، ولوحةٌ رسمتها الطبيعة بألوان الجبال الشرقية، وزيّنها الإنسان بقيمه الأصيلة، حتى أصبح المكان شاهداً على تاريخٍ من التعايش والسلام والتكافل.
في العباسية، تتجاوز العلاقة بين الإنسان والأرض حدود الجغرافيا؛ فهي علاقة مواطنة ووفاءٍ ومسؤولية. هنا تتعانق الثقافات، وتتقارب المكونات الاجتماعية، ويتعلم الناس منذ الصغر أن الاختلاف مصدرٌ للقوة، وأن الحوار هو الطريق الأقصر إلى السلام. لذلك، ظلت العباسية نموذجاً سودانياً فريداً في إدارة التنوع الاجتماعي، وإيجاد الحلول المحلية للنزاعات، وإعلاء قيم الصلح والتسامح.

لقد أنجبت هذه الأرض رجالاً ونساءً حملوا همّ مجتمعهم، وأسهموا في بناء جسور الثقة بين الناس، كلٌ من موقعه. ومن بين الأسماء التي يذكرها أبناء المنطقة بكل تقدير الأمير محمد مختار، وجنابو صديق النور (موسوعة الإقليم وحكمته البالغة)، والمفوض مييل، وغيرهم من الشخصيات التي كان لها حضورٌ في خدمة المجتمع وتعزيز روح التعايش والعمل الإنساني. كما يبرز الأستاذ الجليل خالد محمد علي، والأستاذ أبيض، والأستاذ ياسر، والأستاذ سمير والأخ معتز كومان والأخ النور، والأستاذ آدم والأستاذ سمير والأستاذ أبومدين، وشابات وشباب كثر، إلى جانب نساءٍ فضليات كثيرات قدمن بصمتٍ عطاءً كبيراً في التربية، والعمل الاجتماعي، والإصلاح المجتمعي، وقد لا تسع عشرات الصفحات لذكرهم ولكنهم في وجدان العباسية حضور.

ومهما حاولنا أن نحصي أسماء أصحاب الفضل، فلن تتسع الصفحات لمئات الرجال والنساء الذين ظلوا، ولا يزالون، يحملون همّ محلية العباسية، ويعملون بإخلاص من أجل حاضرها ومستقبلها. فلكل بيتٍ فيها قصة عطاء، ولكل حيٍّ رجالٌ ونساءٌ جعلوا خدمة المجتمع رسالةً قبل أن تكون واجباً.
إن العباسية ليست غنيةً بمواردها الطبيعية فحسب، وإنما بثروتها الحقيقية؛ الإنسان. الإنسان الذي عرف قيمة التعايش، وأتقن فن إدارة الخلاف بالحكمة، وحافظ على النسيج الاجتماعي رغم ما مرّت به البلاد من تحديات. وهذا الإرث الإنساني هو أعظم ما تملكه المنطقة، وهو الأساس الذي يمكن أن تُبنى عليه نهضةٌ تنموية مستدامة.

واليوم، وفي ظل ما يواجهه السودان من تحديات، تبقى العباسية مثالاً يستحق الدراسة والاحتفاء، لأنها تمثل صورةً مصغرةً للسودان بكل تنوعه الثقافي والاجتماعي. إنها وطنٌ صغير يجمع القلوب قبل أن يجمع الجغرافيا، ويؤكد أن الاستثمار الحقيقي يبدأ بالإنسان.

إن العباسية تستحق أن تكون من أجمل مناطق السودان، لأنها تحتضن أجمل ما فيه: إنساناً كريماً، متسامحاً، مؤمناً بقيمة العمل المشترك، ومتمسكاً بالأمل مهما اشتدت الظروف. وهي جديرةٌ بمزيدٍ من الاهتمام، وبالاستفادة من طاقاتها البشرية الهائلة، لتصبح نموذجاً وطنياً في السلام، والتنمية، والتعايش.

Al-Abbasiya at South Kordfan is far more than a place on the map of Sudan. It is a living story, where the beauty of the Eastern Mountains meets the warmth, resilience, and generosity of its people. Here, the landscape and its communities have grown together, creating a shared identity built on belonging, mutual respect, and hope.
For generations, Al-Abbasiya has demonstrated that diversity is a source of strength. People from different backgrounds have lived side by side, resolving disagreements through dialogue, traditional wisdom, and community leadership. This culture of peaceful coexistence has enabled the locality to preserve its social fabric even during difficult times.

This land has given rise to men and women who carried the aspirations of their community and contributed, each in their own way, to building trust among its people. Those respected community figures who have devoted themselves to peace, reconciliation, and public service. Among the names remembered with deep respect by the people of the area are His Highness Prince (Amir) Mohammed Mukhtar, Janabo Siddig Al-Nour (the Encyclopedia of the Region and Its Profound Wisdom), Commissioner Maaiel, and many other distinguished individuals whose dedication has strengthened community service, peaceful coexistence, and humanitarian action.

Also deserving of recognition are the esteemed Khalid Mohammed Ali, Abyad, Yasser, Samir, Adam, Abu Madin, brothers Alnoor and Mutaz Koman together with many young women and men, and numerous remarkable women whose quiet yet invaluable contributions to education, social work, and community reconciliation have left a lasting impact. Although dozens of pages would not be enough to mention them all by name, they continue to hold a special place in the heart and memory of Al-Abbasiya.

Yet, no article could ever capture the contributions of the hundreds of women and men who continue to dedicate٦ themselves to the wellbeing of Al-Abbasiya. Their commitment, often away from the spotlight, has kept hope alive and strengthened the community through service, solidarity, and perseverance.
The greatest wealth of Al-Abbasiya is not only its fertile land or beautiful mountains, it is its people. Their wisdom in managing disputes, preserving social harmony, and embracing peaceful coexistence represents a valuable heritage for Sudan and beyond.

Today, as Sudan continues to face significant challenges, Al-Abbasiya stands as a reminder that sustainable development begins with people. It is, in many ways, a miniature Sudan rich in diversity, united by shared values, and filled with human potential.

Al-Abbasiya deserves to be recognized as one of Sudan’s most beautiful places not only because of its natural scenery, but because it is home to extraordinary people whose kindness, resilience, and commitment to peace continue to inspire future generations. Investing in its people means investing in a brighter future for the entire nation.
